It is always interesting to share information with colleagues, especially when there is an incoming innovation and we will have to face different problems and situations.
After our first day together my thinking is that the material we use and the kind of ideas and uses and students are similar. We share the problems of heterogeneity, low levels, demotivation, discipline and, of course, the necessity to evaluate.
The traditional system may not be enough when listening and speaking skills are involved. Then fluency and communicative aspects are more useful and encouraging for students. I hope that for us, too.
We've presented lots of activities and lesson plans used in our daily work. After paying attention to all of them, I think that the best ones are the most flexible and adaptable ones (for different levels, grades or kinds of learners).
The use of new technologies (blog, glog, PPT,...) are not compulsory but they offer lots of new possibilities and teenagers love them; they are familiar with them and so they are more attracted, even if we are dealing with the same skill than when using a photocopy.
